Network-as-a-Service (NaaS)
Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) is a subscription in which STP specifies, owns, installs, monitors, supports and refreshes the switching, routing and security equipment of your network for a monthly fee per site or per port, so the network becomes a predictable operating cost instead of a capital purchase.

Overview
A purchased network is a decision made once and then lived with. The equipment ages on a schedule nobody planned for, spare parts run out, and the refresh arrives as an unbudgeted project on the day a switch fails or a vendor ends support.
Network-as-a-Service turns that into a subscription. STP designs the network around your sites and traffic, supplies and owns the equipment, installs and monitors it, resolves faults, and refreshes it before it becomes the reason something stops working. You pay a monthly fee per site or per port, and the network stays current without a capital request.
The design work is the same as for a network you buy outright: segmentation, traffic design and documentation are part of the service, not extras. We build on HPE Aruba, Cisco and Sophos equipment, chosen per site against what it has to carry.
For multi-site organisations the gain compounds. Every branch runs the same standard design under the same monitoring, so a new site joins a known pattern instead of becoming another one-off.
What is included
- Network design per site: switching, routing, firewalling and segmentation
- Equipment supplied and owned by STP: HPE Aruba, Cisco, Sophos
- Installation, configuration and documented handover per site
- Firewall policy and VLAN segmentation designed in
- Multi-site interconnect and SD-WAN
- Continuous monitoring and alerting
- Fault resolution and hardware replacement
- Firmware and security updates under change control
- Planned equipment refresh within the subscription
- Capacity and utilisation reporting
What you get out of it
- A network cost you can budget per site, per month
- No refresh project waiting for the day a switch fails
- One accountable party for design, equipment and operation
Technologies we deliver it with
Named to describe what we work in. Not a claim of partnership, endorsement or certification.
Questions
- Is Network-as-a-Service cheaper than buying switches?
- Not always cheaper in total, but far more predictable. It removes the capital purchase, the refresh cycle and the spare-parts problem, and it moves fault resolution to us. It is most attractive for multi-site organisations and for businesses that would rather not hold network expertise in-house.
- Who owns the equipment?
- STP does, for the life of the subscription. That is what lets us monitor, replace and refresh it without a purchase on your side. In most cases the equipment returns to STP at the end of the contract.
- What is the monthly fee based on?
- The number of sites or ports, and the equipment each site actually needs. That is why we look at the sites before quoting rather than pricing from a list.
- What service levels do you commit to?
- They are agreed per client rather than fixed in a catalogue. Response times, coverage hours and reporting are tuned to what your systems and obligations require, and written into the subscription.
