Low Voltage & Security Systems

STP designs and installs low-voltage building systems in Armenia: video surveillance, access control, and intrusion and fire alarm systems including wireless. All of it goes onto the same documented infrastructure as your data network.

Low Voltage & Security Systems

Low-voltage systems are usually bought separately from IT, by a different budget holder, and installed by a different contractor. The result is a building with four parallel cable plants, four support numbers, and no one able to say why the cameras drop out when the alarm panel is serviced.

Because we install the structured cabling as well, we can put surveillance, access control and alarm systems onto one properly designed, properly documented infrastructure: with one contractor accountable when something stops working.

Wireless alarm systems matter where you cannot run cable: heritage buildings, live retail floors, and phased fit-outs where the walls are already closed. We treat wireless as a deliberate design choice with a stated battery and supervision regime, not a shortcut.

What is included

  • IP video surveillance design, installation and commissioning
  • Camera placement modelling for real coverage, not nominal count
  • Network video recorder sizing, retention and storage planning
  • Access control: readers, controllers, door hardware integration
  • Intrusion alarm systems, wired and wireless
  • Fire alarm system cabling and device installation
  • Perimeter detection
  • Integration with the corporate network, including VLAN segmentation
  • Remote monitoring and alerting configuration
  • Handover documentation and operator training

What you get out of it

  • One accountable contractor across data, voice, video and alarms
  • Security systems segmented from corporate traffic by design
  • Coverage you can verify against a plan, not a promise

Questions

Can security cameras share the corporate network?
They can, but they should be segmented onto their own VLAN with controlled routing. Surveillance devices are among the least-patched equipment in most buildings, so they are treated as untrusted and isolated: while still being centrally monitored.
Do you install wireless alarm systems?
Yes, including in buildings where cable routes are not available. Wireless devices are specified with a defined supervision interval and battery replacement schedule, both documented at handover.
